What’s Next

I have been on medical leave a good part of the last couple years. While still reading tarot for friends and family, I have been recently trying to decide where I want to go from here. Both my tarot business and massage therapy business are suffering from the loss of favorite clientele due to their own passing, a few from retiring and moving out of town (this would be massage clients) and simply my own lack of skills in marketing and an admitted social anxiety issue. My clients love me, they stuck with me over the last two years of medical emergencies, but I need to reach more. That brings me to the point now, where I need to find a way to market both businesses. I have ideas for massage, and will be getting on that in the next few weeks or so. But Tarot is a whole other issue. It’s my passion beyond everything else but I know I don’t want to be a content creator. I don’t like the work of writing and editing and this type of delivery feels so overwhelming to me, though I do pretty good on occasion, when the inspiration hits me, writing posts. When reading tarot, I worry more about how I write things, how it appears, if it’s an adequately detailed report and so, the whole thing feels like work and therefore, I don’t connect as well as I do when the querant is in front of me and able to converse, ask questions, or answer them. A single page, few paragraph write up can be better served up as a rich one hour, well connected in person session. I do have equipment to skype, or video record a reading. I don’t mind reading via text where a sort of conversation can be conducted. I can and have done readings by phone call. And afterall, that’s the wave of the future. But I don’t want to do you-tube or Patreon, or generic instagram or tik-tok readings. I am open to stepping outside my comfort zone but I really am a sucker for the appeal of the backroom of the crystal shop, and that smell of mystical insense. There is something to it all that just puts me in the state of mind necessary to tap into that imaginal realm beyond the ordinary. For me that’s where the old magick still lives. It exists for me outside of and beyond, or before, AI and social media, all tools I may utilize from time to time, but not where I reside. Don’t let this dissuade you from reaching out. Just know, I am still here, in my head, trying to figure out what’s next.
